I have a Master's Degree in Psychology from California State University, East Bay. And I have been licensed as a Marriage, Family and Child counselor since 1978. I have been additionally trained in hospice, EMDR, communication and assertiveness skills, human sexuality, child psychotherapy, and marriage and family relationships.
In addition to working in my private practice, I teach and lead workshops and classes on Direct Play Therapy. I have taught this to graduate students at Cal State East Bay, The Wright Institute, and JFK University. I have taught parenting and communication classes at Chabot College.
I have been a presenter at the conferences for the Southern and Northern California Association for Play Therapy. I have also presented at the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists statewide conference and the California Association of School Psychologists conference.
I am the author of the children's project Getting to Know Your Feelings which includes two children's books, a workbook, and a CD helping children to identify and express their feelings.
I am a member of California Association of Marriage, Family Therapists (CAMFT) and California Association of Play Therapist (CALAPT).
